Terms of Use

Last updated 12 July 2026 โ€” current as of the personal test phase (Hushbridge v0.1, "only me"). A fuller set of terms (covering accounts, paid plans, and abuse handling at scale) will replace this page before any public multi-user launch โ€” see ai/03-dev-release-plan.md Phase 3.

Hushbridge is operated by Ashwani Sharma โ€” see the Imprint for full legal details ("we", "us"). By scanning a Hushbridge tag, visiting a contact page, or sending a message through the service, you agree to these terms.

What the service is

Hushbridge relays messages between an object owner (e.g. a car, bike, or door) and anyone who scans the owner's QR tag, without either side needing to exchange contact details directly. See the Privacy Policy for what data this involves.

Personal test phase

The service is currently run as a solo project for personal use and small-scale testing with a handful of invited testers. It is provided "as is", without uptime or availability guarantees, and may change or be taken offline at short notice.

Acceptable use

When sending a message or attachment through Hushbridge, you agree not to:

Messages may be automatically scored for spam/abuse (see the Privacy Policy). We may remove content or block access that violates this section.

Age requirement

Tag owners must be at least 16 years old. There is no minimum age to send a message as a visitor, but visitors should have a parent or guardian's permission if under 16.

No warranty, limitation of liability

The service is provided free of charge during this test phase, without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. For ordinary negligence, we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation ("Kardinalpflicht"), and in that case limited to foreseeable, typical damage. This does not affect any liability under mandatory law (e.g. the German Product Liability Act).

Changes and termination

Because this is a test phase, features, retention settings, and availability may change without notice. We may suspend or remove access for accounts that violate the acceptable-use section above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence, if any, remain unaffected.
